The Project
Nappi Naapuri is a neighborhood social platform. The purpose is to increase social capital and to utilize proximity as a common resource. The platform is designed to promote neighbourly help, and to encourage people to find friends close by.
During the COVID-19 crisis a special Corona Help category was established, and thousands of people joined the platform and offered their help to those neighbors in vulnerable positions.
Their Vision for the Future
Another crisis takes place, a flood, or epidemic. Immediately, people start checking in on their neighbors who they already know, at least lightly, and start finding out if anyone needs help, and start to prepare for any future actions that might be needed.
